    Who:                    Open to all ages, Great opportunity to update your boating knowledge, and operate on our lakes safely. 

    How:               You must register through the DNR website. Sign up on the Indiana DNR website: https://www.boat-ed.com/indiana/
    *It may take a couple weeks for the class to be listed on the website

    Why:                    Complete an Indiana DNR Boater Education course to learn essential safety, navigation, and legal requirements for operating boats and PWCs, fulfilling a legal requirement for 15-year-olds without a driver's license and strongly recommended for all boaters to prevent accidents, stay safe, and avoid fines, ensuring responsible enjoyment of Indiana's waterways. 

    Light snacks and refreshments provided by LJA.  Please plan accordingly.

    Stacy Stork is ready to kick off this years Social and returns by popular demand, Thursday June 18th at 5:00pm on the LJ Sandbar 1st basin with prizes, and raffles.  Whether you're listening to her unique and interesting versions of classic and popular songs, her unique blend of traditional country influences and contemporary sound has established her in the country music scene. Catch your dinner at The Galley and meet some of your neighbors for the kickoff of the season! Don't miss it!

    Our annual Boat Flotilla will be have two themes.  Our first Theme (to be announced) and of course our Patriotic spirit will always be a hit. Light your boat and join our parade at dusk. Gather friends, we are trying a different weekend to gain more interest and do a pre Fourth of July gathering!

    The Antique Boat and Car Show looks forward to seeing our old friends and making new friends of vintage boats and cars.  We will have artists, vendors, food trucks, live music and activities for the kids.  The kids will vote for their favorite boat and we will present the owner with a trophy.  Spread the word of our event and come enjoy a fun filled day at Lake James (120 Lane 447 Lake James) on the channel near the Lake James/Jimmerson Lake bridge.  For more information or questions about our show, contact Mike McBride, Boat Show Chairman.

    The 24rd annual Seaplane Splash-In is just around the corner! Come join in on the fun, and even sign up for a chance to score a ride in a seaplane! Get your raffle ticket (1 per person) at the t-shirt table/announcement stand down near the beach. Donations to support the pilots/event are greatly appreciated.


    BOATERS: We highly encourage boaters to come out and enjoy the event from the water! Please just be mindful of the designated seaplane takeoff/landing areas, marked by orange buoys, and minimize wakes near the Potawatomi Inn to maintain safe seaplane operations.
